DESCRIPTION:Get ready for an exciting two-person team event where the format changes every six holes\, keeping the competition fresh and dynamic. The round begins with Best Ball on holes 1-6\, allowing both players to play their own ball and record the best score per hole. Next\, teams shift to Alternate Shot on holes 7-12\, where strategy and teamwork are key as players take turns hitting each shot. The final stretch\, holes 13-18\, is played as a Scramble\, giving teams the chance to go low by selecting the best shot and playing from there. \nIt’s all about skill\, smart play\, and having fun. Players will also have the chance to win prizes through on-course contests\, including Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive challenges. After the round\, enjoy a post-round celebration\, complete with food\, awards\, and great company. \nThe entry fee is $75 per person ($150 per team) and includes 18 holes of competitive golf\, on-course contests\, and a post-round meal. Gather your foursome (with matching tropical apparel\, of course)\, and join us for the ‘It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere’ Tournament at East Potomac Golf Links on Friday\, July 25! \nGolfers will shotgun start at 5 PM\, playing 9 holes on the front 9 of the Blue Course in a four-person scramble format. The price is $79 per person\, which includes greens fees\, cart fees\, a welcome beverage and pre-round toast\, dinner\, and contribution to the prize fund. \nWe’ll start off the evening with a welcome margarita and toast to Jimmy Buffett offered during registration starting at 4 PM. During the round\, golfers can enjoy sponsored beverage samples\, and a beverage cart will also be going around the course with the usual offerings available for purchase. There will be closest to the pin contests on the course and winners will receive a RNDC beverage goodie bag. \nAfter the round is finished\, players will meet on the front lawn to enjoy a ‘cheeseburger in paradise’ fresh off the Blackstone grill and a presentation of the winning teams and contest winners.

The weekend kicks off at East Potomac on Friday afternoon with a welcome party and practice rounds. Teams of 2 will then compete in five 9-hole matches throughout the rest of the weekend. The rounds are at Langston on Saturday\, then back at East Potomac on Sunday. Players are treated to an all-inclusive special event valued at over $1\,500\, while celebrating municipal golf in DC.
